10 Spooky Games to Play on Your Phone This Halloween
From a skeleton boss fight to a haunted whodunit, here are the 10 best spooky games on Flikk this Halloween. All free, nothing to install, tap and play.

A great spooky phone game doesn't have to make you jump out of your seat. It needs a quick loop you want to repeat, and enough pumpkins, ghosts and skeletons to get you in the Halloween mood. These ten have both, from a cozy coloring game to a skeleton boss fight.
All ten are made with AI and run inside Flikk, so there's nothing to install. Find one you like, tap and play.
Quick note: I'm on the Flikk team, and I played every game on this list myself before ranking it.
The list at a glance
- Bone Duel: dodge a skeleton king's attacks in a boss fight with Undertale vibes.
- Spooky Coloring: relaxed color-by-number with pumpkins, ghosts and spiders.
- Grave Suspects: a match-3 game where you solve a spooky whodunit.
- Haunted Pantry Sort: a tile-matching puzzle where planning ahead matters.
- Spooky Tarot Solitaire: solitaire with haunted tarot cards.
- Spooky Tower Drop: an endless fall past ghosts, with pumpkins that slow down time.
- Crypt Crawler: send a hero into a skeleton crypt and upgrade at the right time.
- Grave Match: classic match-3 with ghosts, bats and potions.
- Dungeon Hunter Idle: an idle monster hunt you can play on the side.
- Horror Sci-Fi Trivia: how well do you know horror in sci-fi movies and games?
How we picked: On October 12, 2026, I searched Flikk's catalogue for games with a spooky theme: ghosts, pumpkins, graves, crypts, skeletons and monsters. I played each one for at least three minutes and ranked them by how much fun they were. Most of these games are less than two weeks old, so play counts are still small. The numbers below are from Flikk's catalogue on October 12, 2026.
1. Bone Duel
Bone Duel gave me Undertale vibes right away. You face the Bone King, a skeleton boss, and dodge his attacks inside a small arena: lasers sweep across, walls of bones close in, and you have a row of hearts to survive with.

The boss has several attacks, and they're challenging and hard to predict. My only complaint: the boss dies with one shot. Want a game like this, but with a tougher boss? On Flikk you can describe your own boss fight in a prompt, then make it even more your own with edits.
Best for: anyone who likes boss fights and quick reflexes.

2. Spooky Coloring
The most relaxed game on the list, and the most played. You fill in each blank area with the right color, number by number, until a spooky picture appears: a glowing jack-o'-lantern, a ghost, a spider. The colors are bright and the finished pictures look great.

There are 50 canvases, plus a Daily Canvas. The daily one looks a bit harder than the main pictures, and that makes it even more fun.
Best for: winding down after a long day, or anyone who wants Halloween without the scares.

3. Grave Suspects
Grave Suspects starts like a normal match-3 game, then adds a really nice twist. Every case has a row of spooky suspects. You match pumpkins, ghosts, eyeballs and potions to fill a deduction bar and unlock clues, like "The culprit does not glow blue." Use the clues to cross out suspects and pick the culprit.

That twist gives every round a clear goal. You're not matching for points, you're matching to solve the case, and that makes you want to play one more.
Best for: match-3 fans who want something new.

4. Haunted Pantry Sort
This one plays a bit like Mahjong. Spooky items (pumpkins, ghosts, apples, potion bottles) are piled on the board. You tap them into an item bar at the bottom, and three of the same clear away.

The puzzle is in the order. Pick items without thinking and the bar fills up with no three alike, and you're stuck. Look ahead, and the board clears smoothly.
Best for: puzzle fans who like to plan a few moves ahead.

5. Spooky Tarot Solitaire
A solitaire game with spooky tarot cards. Each level lays the cards out in a new shape, like a Pyramid or a Mystic Cross, and you clear them using the open card next to your draw pile.

You can only use cards that are free to pick, which adds real depth. Use your cards wisely: I threw too many onto the pile early and ran out. It's casual, fun and a great way to pass the time, with 50 levels to clear.
Best for: card game fans and short breaks.
116 plays (October 12, 2026)
6. Spooky Tower Drop
An endless faller. You drop down a dark tower past floor after floor, and the deeper you go, the harder it gets.

Two rules to remember. The spooky ghosts kill you on touch, so stay away from them. Floors only kill you if you get stuck at the top with nowhere left to fall, so use them to your advantage. Pick up pumpkins on the way down to slow time and fall with more precision.
Best for: chasing a high score in short runs.

7. Crypt Crawler
Pick a hero and send them into a crypt full of spooky skeletons. Your hero fights their way down floor by floor, and you spend what you collect on upgrades: Health, Damage, Speed and Recovery.

The trick is choosing the right upgrade at the right time, or the skeleton bosses will beat you. It's a chill dungeon crawler, but it still makes you think.
Best for: fans of upgrade games and dungeon crawlers.

8. Grave Match
A classic match-3, Halloween style. You swap ghosts, pumpkins, bats and potions to make rows of three or more, and each level gives you a goal, like clearing a set number of ghosts and bats within your moves.

It's nicely animated, the colors pop, and the level challenges keep it interesting.
Best for: anyone who likes Candy Crush-style games.
155 plays (October 12, 2026)
9. Dungeon Hunter Idle
If you like idle games and spooky monsters, this one's for you. Your hero fights dungeon monsters one after another, floor by floor, with a boss at the end. You use the loot to upgrade your hero, use skills like Meteor, War Cry and Whirlwind, and recruit companions to make your party stronger and faster.

It needs very little attention, so you can play it on the side. That's exactly what a good idle game should do.
Best for: idle game fans and multitaskers.

10. Horror Sci-Fi Trivia
How much do you know about horror in sci-fi? Each question is about a movie or game, from Aliens and Ex Machina to System Shock and Dead Space, and you pick the right answer from three.

Get them right in a row to build a streak and push your score up, then check the leaderboard to see who knows the most.
Best for: horror movie fans and trivia lovers.
